Information we collect

Ladysentials may handle: your name, email address and telephone number; account and sign-in information; the appointments you book and their history; Shop Her Edit order information; payment status and reference information; your acceptance of these policies; your marketing preference; messages you send us; security records such as sign-in, verification and rate-limit events; and the technical cookie and session information the site needs to work.

We do not ask for identity documents, your date of birth or your bank account details, and the booking flow does not ask you for medical records, a diagnosis or a general medical history. Booking asks only about the product currently on your nails.

If you choose to tell us something relevant to carrying out a service safely — an allergy or a skin sensitivity, for example — we may receive it and use it for that purpose only. Ladysentials is a nail studio, not a healthcare provider, and gives no medical advice.

Appointment information

When you book, we record the services chosen, the date and time, the answers to any booking questions, and the status of the appointment as it changes.

Appointment records are kept as a history rather than overwritten, so what was agreed at the time remains visible to both you and the studio.

Account information

Creating an account records your name, email address, and phone number, together with your password in a hashed form that we cannot read. If you sign in with Google instead, there is no Ladysentials password to store, and we record that Google is how you sign in.

A phone number is required for booking and order journeys, because it is how the studio reaches you about an appointment or a collection.

Store-order information

Placing a Shop Her Edit order records the items, quantities, and prices at the time of the order, along with your order reference and its progress.

Order records are kept as a history rather than overwritten, so the details of a past order stay accurate.

Payment processing

Online payments are handled by Paystack, the payment provider Ladysentials uses. When you pay, you complete the payment on Paystack's own secure page: your card, bank or transfer details are given to Paystack, not to Ladysentials, and Paystack does not pass your full card details to us. We never see or store them.

What we keep is the record of a payment attempt and its outcome — the amount, the reference, and whether Paystack confirmed it — so an appointment or order can be matched to its payment. Paystack's own handling of your payment information is governed by Paystack's terms and privacy notice.

Communications

We use your contact details to send messages you need in order to use the service: verifying your email address, resetting a password, confirming an appointment or order, and telling you when a collection is ready.

Marketing messages are separate. We only send them if you have chosen to receive them, and you can change that choice at any time.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses first-party cookies and similar storage that are necessary for it to work — keeping you signed in, carrying verification and recovery steps, holding your bag and booking progress, and protecting sign-in against abuse.

Ladysentials does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and there is no analytics or tracking platform on this site.

The Contact page embeds a live Google Map. When that map loads, Google receives technical information such as your IP address, and may set or read its own cookies and identifiers under Google’s own terms and privacy practices. That is third-party content, and it is the one place on the site where a party other than Ladysentials may do so.

Service providers

Railway provides the hosting, infrastructure and database on which this site and its records run.

Resend delivers the account and service email we send you — verification codes, password resets, and booking or order messages.

Paystack processes online payments, as described under Payment processing.

Google provides the map embedded on the Contact page, as described under Cookies and similar technologies. Where the site offers “Continue with Google”, choosing it asks Google to confirm who you are: Google tells Ladysentials your name, your email address and whether Google has verified that address, and nothing else. Ladysentials is never given your Google password, and signing in with Google gives Ladysentials no access to anything else in your Google account.

These providers process information for those purposes. Some of them operate outside Nigeria, so your information may be handled outside the country.

Data retention

Personal information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed — to provide the service, to operate your account, bookings and orders, for security, for legal, accounting and record-keeping needs, and to handle a dispute or a request.

Some short-lived operational data expires or is deleted automatically where the site supports that, such as verification challenges and temporary checkout details. Account, appointment, order and audit records are not on a fixed automatic deletion schedule, and no fixed retention period is stated here.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your account details from your account, and change your marketing preference at any time. For anything else — a copy of your information, a correction, or a request to close your account — contact Ladysentials through the Contact page.

Some information may be kept after a request where the studio has a continuing business or record-keeping reason to hold it.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, administrator access requires an additional authentication step, and access to studio systems is limited to what each role needs.

No online service can promise perfect security, and no guarantee is given here. If something goes wrong, contact Ladysentials through the Contact page.
